The intensity of the snowdrift is presented on a map by different colors. The model estimates the driftability of the snow cover during and after snowfall. The model takes into account the air temperature, wind speed and the duration since last snowfall Snowdrift is possible if air temperature has been below zero degrees after the last snowfall and the wind speed is greater than 6 m/s.
